Elevating mental health awareness and raising critical funds for Lifeline Canberra, the annual Ainslie to Everest event sees firefighters from ACT Fire & Rescue push themselves to the extreme both physically and mentally.

Teams take on the challenge of climbing the equivalent elevation of Mount Everest (8,848 meters) on the Mount Ainslie Trail in Canberra. Wearing full Breathing Apparatus gear weighing approximately 12kg, each team member will complete 32km, collectively conquering the height of the world’s highest peak.
