Lifeline Canberra's Bookfairs are the largest gathering of book-lovers in Canberra and they raise a major portion of the funding needed to keep our local 13 11 14 crisis support and suicide prevention service available to the community.
Our Epic Bookfairs offer around 250,000 donated items for sale. We have a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, including rare books and collectables, children's books, textbooks and foreign language books. You'll also find magazines and pamphlets, comics, maps and atlases, talking books, records and CDs, DVDs, games and jigsaws.

Did you know that around 100 volunteers are needed to ensure the bookfair events run smoothly?
We're currently seeking volunteers to help at the bookfair.
Roles include helping with the set up, tallying purchases, taking payments, staffing the cloakroom and clearing at the end of each Bookfair. We also need volunteers to put out road signs before the Bookfair and traffic marshals to help direct cars in the parking area.
We have a volunteer break room with tea, coffee, cakes, slices and lunch provided.
