By volunteering for Lifeline not only will you be making a difference to the lives of other Australians who use the Lifeline services, but you’ll also be enriching your own life.

It takes a lot of dedicated people to provide Lifeline's telephone crisis support services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, across Australia. Lifeline Canberra relies on support from the community to answer the crisis support line, raise funds and run the iconic Bookfair events.

Online Bookstore

Lifeline Canberra earns a major part of its funding by selling thousands of donated items at our three Bookfairs. We offer a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books for all ages, as well as magazines and pamphlets, comic books and atlases, records, CDs and DVDs, games and puzzles.

A limited selection of our rarer, more valuable or collectable items is available for purchase from our online bookstore catalogue.

Each year, Lifeline Canberra recognises inspirational women in our community; women who have triumphed over adversity, who give back to the community and inspire others to do the same.

On Wednesday 29 August, Lifeline Canberra annouced our receipents for 2018, congratulations to

 Women of Spirit - Yvonne Anthoney

 Yvonne's daughter Dainere was diagnosed with High Risk Medulloblastoma in 2013. Yvonne has establised the Dainere's Rainbow Brain Tumor Research Fund and has helped to raise over 300 thousand  dollars for research.

Rising Women of Spirit - Clare Sheehan

When Clare was a child she was subjected to sexual abuse for a number of years. This trauma impacted her mental and emotional well being, confidence and self- esteem. Clare has created her own business, running coaching programs and events to empower men and women to love themsleves in the skin they're in and live empowering and meaningful lives.
