Lifeline Canberra INC offers a number of services and community resources to help with a range of personal issues. Following are links to more comprehensive information on the service that you require:

Crisis Telephone Service
Our counsellors provide skilled and knowledgeable support to our callers at the time when their situation has overwhelmed them or just seems too much to bear alone.

Gambling Care
Gambling Care (formally called the Gambling and Financial Counselling Service) is a free counselling service provided to members of the community who are experiencing problems with gambling and the associated financial difficulties that are often encountered as a result.

Canberra Emergency Accommodation Service
Alongside the regular 24 hour crisis telephone counselling line, Lifeline Canberra provides the CEAS line, a 24 hour telephone line offering information, counselling and referral to callers looking for emergency accommodation in refuges and supported accommodation services in the ACT.

Clubcare
Lifeline Canberra has developed an innovative new program called Clubcare. Lifeline, more than 20 Canberra Clubs and Clubs ACT have signed a Heads of Agreement contract to ensure that these gambling venues offer responsible environments for patrons who gamble.

Suicide Prevention
ASIST is a two-day suicide prevention program that provides essential skills with which to intervene with someone considering suicide.

Training
Lifeline is a Registered Training Organisation able to offer nationally accredited qualifications including Certificate III and IV in Telephone Counselling.

LYNX
LYNX is the Youth Services arm of Lifeline Canberra. Not only do we ensure that all Lifeline counselors are trained in youth issues, we manage other youth-related projects within Lifeline. These are aimed at enhancing the resiliency of young people, as well as empowering them through enhancement of their skills, and opportunities to participate in their community. We also aim to educate young people about Lifeline – what it is and what we do.
