Bookfair entrance

This view shows customers entering the Bookfair - some with their own carry bags for purchases.

Bookfair volunteers

Here are a few of the 100 or so volunteers who help to keep the tables stocked and the whole operation running smoothly. They are there to help.

Bookfair main room

The wide aisles make it easy for prams, book-trolleys and even wheel-chairs.

Bookfair - showing someone using a Bookfair bag

The north end of the hall (which includes children's books) is carpeted so that children and parents can sit and browse if they wish. Note the Lifeline Bookfair Bag - available at the door for $2.

This picture shows some of the thousands of books in the Fiction area. The Fiction books are pre-sorted into more than 30 categories to make it easier for customers to locate just what they want quickly.

bulletCheckout Process

After selecting items to purchase, please proceed to the tally tables where your total will be calculated. You then move to the cash registers to pay for your purchases prior to exiting the hall. Payment can be by cash, EFTPOS or credit card.

If you need help to move heavy books, please approach one of the volunteers.

Between the main hall and the Kakadu Room there is a cloakroom where you can leave items securely. Purchased books may be left there if you wish to go back in.
